Green Spring Extension Master Gardener (“GSEMG”), Mary Carolyn Thies-Becker will show you how to create a bright and welcoming space in the less sunny spots in your garden. How to choose plants, both native and ornamental, for those difficult to plant shade areas. The GSEMG’s have worked closely with the Wolf Trap National Park staff to revive a forlorn area of the park into a beautiful Woodland Garden with Shade loving native plants, paths, benches, natural water elements allowing visitors a place of beauty and quiet reflection for all seasons- as well as a welcoming habitat for pollinators, birds, and other animals and insects. Please join Mary Carolyn and learn how to add color, texture and beauty in the shady parts of your garden.
