Walk & Learn in the Woodland Garden at Wolf Trap National Park!
Spring is coming! Welcome the season with the Friends of Wolf Trap and Green Spring Extension Master Gardeners! The Woodland Garden hosts over 180 native woodland plant species. The ephemerals bloom in waves in early Spring, and include Virginia Bluebells, Woodland Poppies, May Apples, and over 1,000 Trilliums planted throughout the garden. There will be signage for self-guided tours and Extension Master Gardeners available to answer your questions.

What to Expect: Short mulched paths in the fenced garden adjacent to the meadow and the Filene Center
Who Can Come: Adults and families. Pets are not allowed in the garden. Well trained service dogs are permitted.
What to Bring: Wear comfortable shoes for uneven ground and bring water.
Where to Meet: Lot 1, please see the map. In your map app you can enter “Wolf Trap Loop Trail” and the app will lead you to Lot 1. - FOWT will be hosting a “Know Your Park Hike” every First Sunday of the month from 10-11:30am (weather pending).

Hikes registration is facilitated via the EventBrite ticketing system. If a hike is canceled or postponed, you will receive an email notification from EventBrite. Please check your mail system and junk/spam folder if you did not receive an email in your Inbox.

Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts staff will be also be periodically hosting backstage tours to learn about the Filene Center’s history & see how the theater works behind-the-scenes!
